3 Best exercises for seniors to recover from low back pain
The most common thing that happen to the elderly is that not everybody (well, I would say only a few) can perform without having pain the exercises that the therapist show you.
Another problem is the execution. You go home, and when you start doing the exercises it turns that you don’t remember them well how to do it ( even if you get a sheet of paper with the exercises).
So one solution is to perform the exercises with the therapist in the clinic. Don’t leave it and take it for granted thinking you know how to do it!
Ok now here it comes the 3 best exercises that has worked for me the best over the last 20 years of treating patients with back pain:
1- Sitting down, open in flexion legs, doing internal rotation. 5 min
2- Going back and front in 4 legs (dog’s posture) with breathing, 5 min.
3. Abdominal diagonal flexion, supine position, vertical flex legs. 3 x 20.
By doing right these 3 exercises regularly, the pain decreases and the patient experience a good relief. Together with our physiotherapy we fix most of low back pains.
