One common thing I find when patients with pain in the low back (that goes down to the front side of the thight or even to the inside to the pubis bone), patients that has been treated with massage or heat, and after several sessions the patient doesn’t get better. Doesn’t sounds familiar? This happens because the therapist hasn’t undertood where the pain comes from.
The therapist can be very professional and dedicated but it will not fix the problem by doing massage or shockwave on the thigh.
Only if you understand that there is a nerve called “femoralis” that is irritated, that starts in the low back and finishes in the front side of the leg,, then you can start to help and heal the patient.
Then, the issue here is how do we repair the nerve?
Massage or heat will not work.
Quiropractic may help, but it will need treatment for good.
The most effective solution to fix the problem definitively will be disc discompression + neuroadaptative therapy (this is a therapy that resets / regulate the nerve signal/damage so the nerve can start working well again).
